Try to do shorter post with even less details, just to see if someone has a chrystall ball on the forum.

Something like "I have problem, help me".

When you used dvd2avi to extract the ac3, what was the name of the file it produced ?

Note: you try to do a SVCD with AC3 ???

The default for SVCD is 180. So you have to put 180 + (delay given by dvd2avi), that is 180+0 = 180 !

Note: can you please also answer to the question I added in a "note:" in my previous post ?

Maybe your audio is for movie + previous stuff, and your video is only movie without previous stuff.
I had this problem any time before, but I don't know how to fix it. But it is a clue, don't think it.
(it seems an answer for a "?" question, but isn't it, I sure you,)

Drop that shit !

Your problem is not in the audio, but in the video.

With all your skills in the matter you should have reason ! :banghead:

The audio is not in synch with the video then that is the audio that is bad ? And what do you say if I tell you that is the videothat is not in synch with the audio ?

That does not turns mencoder in a trustable encoder. *D*R*O*P* *I*T*

Tmpgpenc as almost ANYONE here use with NO PROBLEMS !

Note: let me resume :

So you have a DVD coming from nowhere, that is PAL but in 30 fps (even if this does not exits), with an audio that can't be turned into ac3 properly (you never told us how you solved this problem btw) and the muxing is out of synch ?

Okay, keep mencoder if you want but drop your source.

(note: I really start to wonder if you do not just invent the problems... I don't know what is your goal but I think I will put you on my "ignore" list).

2- i fixed the problem what i did was use DVD2avi to mux the AC3 from the (source DVD) which in fact is a DVD that i want to back up

No one will solve this for you because : your problem is due to mencoder !

Mencoder often give big bitrate peaks, WAY ABOVE THE MAXIMUM AUTHORIZED and as for SVCD the total video+audio bitrate CAN'T be more than 2820 (not really sure of the value right now, but that won't make any difference), you obtain this underflow problems on the audio !

CAN YOU COPY THAT ?

It is not because you never fall on the problem before that the problem does not exist. Why the hell do you think we close the mencoder forum for a while if it is not because mencoder has SERIOUS problems ?

Note: and if you can't even know if your DVD is NTSC or PAL, then let me about your skills
