I understand how an MPEG that is 780megs or so will fit on an 80 min. CD.

But what I am having a problem with, is when I finish making a KVCD that is around 750megs, both VCD Easy and Nero tell me that I don't have enough disc space.

I am using TMPEG 2.521 for encoding and muxing. I was told by Kwag that using TMPEG 2.59 will cause this issue, but I still seem to have it.

Any suggestions?

When you mux, carefully choose "VCD non compliant" or "SuperVideoCD".
Do NOT use "MPEG1 system" or "MPEG2 system".

I use VideoCD (Non Standard). Still seems to be an issue.

And you uncheck the "make a compliant VCD" in Nero when you want to burn
?

VCDEasy reports the ewact number of "equivalent" minutes that your image does. Can you tel me how much is it (if more than 79'57", then that is true that you don't have enoguht space).
Can you tell me also the size of the bin file created by vcdeasy ?

I think I understand what you mean... but how, once again, would I determine a 99 minute movie will fit on to a 79minute CD?

My Complete File size when finished is 781megs.

The timing on a CD is for standard audio CD or standard VCD. 700 MB CD can take 800 MB mpeg video (in your case non-standard VCD). So 781 MB should fit nicely on 700 MB CD even without overburning. If you failed then there is something wrong with your file or with the settings of the burning program. Do a research..

I've the same problem now with my new NERO 6 version bundled with a Sony DVD writer. Nero 5 was working fine with file ~ 800 MB.
I've post this Pb to Nero Support today, waiting for the answer.
