Besweet can't do a "Downconvert Sample Rate'" and a change in the fps at the same time. You have to proceed in two steps.

Do first a wav -> wav with just the change from 25 to 23.976, then you will encode your mp21 with all other operations.

You can do both things at same time, but you need to do it from command line cmd.exe box.
Copy and paste you normal Besweet command without ota pal to ntsc change, and at end write

Code:
-soundtouch( -rate -4.096 )

That's right, I forgot this new feature (soundtouch).
But I'm not sure : is there an issue with this feature ?

I'm testing it now.
I had some issues with soundotouch and ac3enc together, but still don't know why.
I'll tell you when I know something.

Watch out if you do resynthsizing audios from 25 to 23.976! It could be that the result isnt that good. Because it already has been often treated to match 25fps.

Original Moviebased streams are shot on film 24fps (also in PAL lands!)
So in the cinema you are used to recognise someones voice like from Michael douglas. And that SAME tone is given when looking that same Movie with Michael Douglas's Voice on PAL Area television. Means that the audiopart is already synthsized to 25fps as country specific adding of voice dialogues of Audio are done on that orig 24fps cinema format.

So an INVERSE audiotone transformation that way does mean interpolation again and so .... dont judge on bad tronsformations out of already 25fps transformed ones

Very cool tip on the soundtouch feature. I had no idea it was there. I honestly pick up more little bits of knowledge hanging around here than I do at places like videohelp.com or doom9.

So I gave it a try doing a 25 -> 23.976 conversion. I noticed in the command line window as BeSweet was working that it reported a change of "4," even though I had of course specified a precise "4.096." Makes me wonder. Anyway, my audio is still a little bit off.

Audio sync issues just drive me nuts. Even if you do everything exactly right, sometimes audio comes out of sync. I don't usually have this problem when I use DVD2AVI as it reports the delay of demuxed tracks, but I wish I could find a way to find if there's a delay or "offset" between the audio and video in an AVI before demuxing it. Seems like after demuxing an AVI, the audio and video are almost never precisely the same length, though that difference is usually less than a second. However, when you convert the framerate, I think that "less-than-a-second" can potentially become quite a bit more noticeable.

It would be possible change fps (23.976 -> 25 or visceversa) with VirtualDubMod before demux A-V and after fps shift extract audio from avi?

@all
Excuse-me for getting out of the topic, but I solved an annoying problem here, I have to show my gratitude to these guys.

@Pro and Dialhot
As usual, we can always find our way in the threads of this forum. No matter searching with the search tool or with Google (like this time) we always end up here. I'm sure the answer is out there, but the right answer is always here, never fails.

Congrats for the excellent work.

Ps: Jorel and Vmesquita are mods here, too? When do these guys sleep?
