You guys may now notice that there are only 3,700+ registered users, instead of 5,000+.
That's how many spammers we had, and/or people who registered and never activated their link.
This really means that for the number of registered users, KVCD.Net is really the most active video forum on the net (registered users to online users ratio), with a max online users of 90

The "other" sites, with 50,000+ users (I wonder if they should also do some cleanup ), have between 150 to 300 users online.
I can easily do the math

I'll be cleaning up the forum once a week, with some heuristic rules, so the forum is kept clean and the garbbage is kept out

Hi Karl
Wow, pretty cool figures.
And I bet the new registered users are mostly Brazillian right?
At least judging from their nicknames...
And from their post counter too.
VM's FreeEnc must have contributed a lot to it.
As well as Inc's Packshot and VM's MencodeMe.
I think we are cooking here
Let's keep it this way as long as we can
Cheers

I only deleted users that never had activated their link
I still have to go back and make another SQL query. I will also delete all users (about 300) that have registered and have a lot of PM's, but no post count. That's very fishy

Hi Karl,

It looks great, KVCD is becoming bigger and bigger every day!
The portuguese forum is really the biggest right now. The truth is that KVCD.NET is the greatest source of info about MPEG1/2 conversion in portuguese right now. No other place has such an enormous ammount of knowledge in archive!
Of course, there are tons of lazy people that are making our good friend Jorel angry. But that's how it is...
I was thinking about creating new portuguese Forums... Maybe a DIKO Portuguese forum and an avisynth one? What do you think Karl?

Hey sure
But I guess you mean creating the forum on your site, right
I might be able to do an SQL dump of the DIKO forum, and you can then restore it on your new forum ( If you want to do that )

Hi Karl,

Actually I would prefer to have it here. I think things complement each other: people come here looking for an easy way to convert their DivX to play in their regular SAP, they learn about DIKO, then they want more quality so they start doing DVDs and later they start getting interested in more fun stuff they can do. DIKO has become one gate for the KVCD world.
I am just in doubt about what forums should exist... Definatelly a DIKO Portuguese Forum but I am not sure if a Avisynth scripts forum would have enough posts. What do you think, Jorge?

Hi ,
When GoldStar raised the possibility of Portuguese DIKO/Avisynth forums I understood they would be created here at kvcd.net.
But for those that might have understood GoldStart wanted to create those forums at his own site, read Karl's words underlined.
That was a very nice gesture by Karl
Is this fellowship/friendship or what?
And it is also a very nice gesture by GoldStar to open those forum here at kvcd.
He could open them at his own site if he wanted but he decided to stay close to his crowd here at kvcd.
This is why I may search/browse through other forums but I always end up here next to my friends.
Thank you both and everybody for being yourselves, that is, such cool guys
Cheers
