Hi LeeKuid,

That's very simple
Connect an S-Video cable from your Satellite receiver's S-Video OUT connector to your VHS recorder's S-Video IN connector, and connect the audio cable (red and white RCA plugs on the ends) from the receiver to the VHS recorder.
That's it

Karl,
If your VHS recoder has a S-VHS outlet, then it is a... S-VHS recoder.

Very few people have this.

Hi Phil,

You sure about that
I think some regular VHS recorders do have both S-Video and RCA inputs.
I could be wrong, because my VHS is not that old and has both, but I can't remember if the old recorders I had before did have S-Video inputs

Then they have to include a S-VIDEO -> Composite convertor and I don't think this exist on the market.

Do remember that VHS use one wire for all the signals where S-VHS use two.

Yes, but that's simply to carry chroma/luma on different wires on the S-Video connector.
S-Video is really a baseband analog video format
That has nothing to do with VHS or S-VHS.

Of course it has.
In S-VHS, luma and chroma are recorded separately, in two different layers of the magnetic tape.
If you play a S-VHS tape in a VHS vcr, it will play it in black and white because it can't read the chroma info that is deeper in the material.
