Hi All
I have around 20 MPEG files (KVCD format) each 350 MB. If I am going to store them on CDR (700MB), it will take 10 CDs. So I want to store them on DVD but in the VCD format (i.e. no DVD quality). In this case, I will keep the file size as 350 MB by not converting it to DVD.
My question is, how to do this?
I tried Roxi (the software that I got for FREE with my DVD burner), but the problem is that it converts the VCD files into DVD format before burning them. If I store them as MPEG files, I won't be able to forward/rewind?
Any help will be appreciated.

Demux the Video/Audio streams with TMPEG, reencode the audio at 48Khz, and feed the streams to your DVD authoring program. I recommend TMPGEnc DVD Author, because it's very easy to use.

I doubt it does as SVCD are 480x480 and it is not DVD compliant. So this programm surely reencode all.
But VCD are 352x240 and this is DVD compliant.
You don't need any tool but an audio encoder (besweet) and tmpgenc dvd author.

Hi, I use ACP for my KVCD needs, so if I change the frequency to 48000 in the "audio settings" tab, I'll be able to put KVCDs onto DVD-R for viewing on compatible players?

Generally yes. But not if your standalone is very tight on the standard (KVCD are not VCD)

Note: with VCD spec, you can put 12 hours on a DVD, not 5. I even put 14 hours once.
