Hi Guys,

just wanted to let you know that this motherboard is the best one i've ever had. With the latest unofficial bios (1.71Mod) i was able to achieve a fsb of 300, so i've been able to overclock my AMD Venice 3000+ from 1800 to 2700Mhz. And all this with a standard cooler from Zalman. The temps (when encoding for sure ) are near 42 degrees, idle ~34.
The only bad thing is the northbridge fan running at ~7000 Rpm's, it is a bit noisy but i think i will give it a try with a lowered voltage.

First time encoding with TMPGEnc was a surprise, it was the first time i've seen a CPU not beeing at 100% when encoding. My old IDE hard drive (UDMA133) wasn't quick enough

Have a nice day.
Krassi

Hi Krassi,

I have an MSI Mobo and I do love MSI motherboards they for me have been good quality and very reliable.

I was thinking of upgrading to the new AMD X2 64bit processor, hopefully I can find a good MSI board that supports that.

Thanks for the info that is impressive.
