My P4 2.53GHz has started running slower and slower, then locking up and requiring reboot. I use Windowsxp Home and the only software loaded lately is Office 2003 update. When I run Task Manager, idle time is up to 99% while processing at crawl.

I want to run something that will check my memory, etc.

Thanks.

@Kwag

Hi Karl, could you recommend a good Registry cleaner either freeware of commercial as I need to give my Registry a once over and see if there are any remants of programs long uninstalled.

Thanks in advance.

BTW, http://www.spychecker.com is the gold mine for all cleaning/checking tools. Let give a look.
