ok have a bit of an annoying problem with my dvd drive ad my cd re-writer, if I insert a cd it doesn't pick up on me inserting it, but if I access the drive I can access all the files on the cd. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get my dvd and cd re--writer drives to detect me putting cds in?

Have you installed the latest ASPI drivers for XP?

Ahhhh....I have the same problem! My XP home DID ask what I want to do with the CDR media.

Now it does not.

Not sure when it stopped. I would guess that the answer lies in a search on GOOGLE which I will do now.

I've had a look through the search results but could not find anything.
