Currently using Multi frontend with Lame -V 6 --vbr-new for CD to MP3 for my Creative Jukebox.

Do you still use this, or is there a better way. (The jukebox has 60GB, so I am not all that size constrained).

We've discussed this recently here http://www.kvcd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16355.
Current HA forum recommendation is -Vx --vbr-new.
So, just raise or lower the 'x' as you wish .
Cheers

That's exactly what I still use
With those settings, to me, the audio is transparent.

Thanks, Karl. I'll stay with this. I am going to switch from AudioGrabber to EAC to extract Wav files.

I've been mostly putting tape audio books on the MP3 player for travel, but want to add a few albums for additional long flight distraction. This, along with noise blocking earphones, makes journeys less trying.

Want to use Multi Frontend to make 192 48000 mp2 from wav to mux for dvd. Currently using Lame -V 6 --vbr-new for mp3.

How do I set Multi Frontend to make mp2 rather than mp3?

Or, is it better to use BeSweetGUI0?

I guess that multifront will use Toolame for doing mp2, if either it can do that. That is the same as using Besweet and its GUI.

Should work the same, but change the command line arguments. Just set "TooLame?" in the settings of Multi Front End, and give it a whirl

I've always used Lame with your recommended parameters:

-V 6 --vbr-new

If TooLame is better, will use. What exactly will the parameter line look like for TooLame for mp3 and mp2 in Multi Frontend?

I've read and reread the options, but remain confused (as usual ).

That sounds great, and that's what I use for all my MP3 encodings

TooLame is optimized for MP2.
LAME for MP3
