@anyone,

I'm an avid listener of Security Now and in episode #55 a big deal was
made of Sandboxie http://www.sandboxie.com/. This is FREE and the
registered version ($20) has even more features. Has anyone used
Sandboxie in other useful ways

Thank you BP
This is really great, running any program in a "sandbox".
So if a virus is "feeded" while you are in this environment, it blows up your sandbox, but NOT your system files (Very Smart)
I'm now headed over there to listen to that episode, which I missed

Thanks!,

I'm using SandBoxie now and it's GREAT!!! I'm trying to get SBie to
use Firefox as my default browser, but it keeps using IE I can only
get Firefox by running it as any application.

BTW, check out SN-053 Virtual Machine ware. Listen to the part of about
running the same copy of VM Windows XP on multiple different PC's
without activation or product key problems.

Changing Default Browser to Firefox
This is for Windows 2000 Professional
1) Start -> Control Panel -> Files Options
2) Select Folder Options
3) Find Extensions "HTM" and "HTML"
4) Highlite "HTM" -> click change button -> Select Firefox -> click OK
5) Highlite "HTML" -> click change button -> Select Firefox -> click OK
6) Click OK -> Firefox is now your default browser

@all,

So far, SBIE has greatly reduced adware, spyware, malware, cookies,
temporary internet files, registry entries, and more. My system-tune's
show less removeval of the above. I can print internet websites from
SBIE and download files. I tried limewire, but the download went to the
snadbox. I can play aduio files within sandboxie with WMP.

Hi BP,

Yes, indeed
This is really cool.
The only thing that people have to be aware is that downloads, etc., go to the "sandbox" directories, and not to the regular download directories
But this program is a must, specially for running IE
