hello

there are 2 extra kvcd matrixz in HCenc, can i use them for dvd and 352x480 resolution? are these aimed for extra compression?

What matrix are you talking about ? There is one (the) kvcd matrix : the Notch. The others are for a lot of them well known matrix, not as good for low bitrate than Notch.

In the matrix folder of HCenc there are 3 matrixz named kvcd:

KVCD notch matrix
KVCD_320x432_CQ65
KVCD_448x320_CQ65

are those last 2 unofficial?

Very old matrix, existing before the notch. The result with them won't be better, more likely worst, than notch.
