Hi!
I'm not getting video preview with PV231 capture card, WinDVR or PowerDirector Pro (Trial), although the captured files result OK. My Specs: WindowsXP Home, SP1, 2.4 Ghz box w/ 512 Mb Ram, 80 Mb HD. I installed the latest drivers for my graphics card and all capture software.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
Merry Xmas to all!

Hi fravel,

Welcome!
If you can't get video preview, it could be that your video hardware is not fast enough to keep up with capture and display simultaneously. I have the same problem on one of my PC's which has a built-in video card. On my other PC, the one I use the most, has a NVidia GE Force card and I get perfect video preview
What video card do you have?

Thanks again, kwag!
My graphics card is an Intel 82845G/GL with up to 64MB shared video memory. With Windows ME the other card I had, a "caravelita" one, I had no problems. I think I even had no problems with WinMX and the new PC at first, but I'm not sure.
Felicidades,
fravel

Hi fravel,

The problem could be related to the frame buffer used in the card. So I guess you need another driver, or simply the card doesn't support preview while capturing

Felicidades!

Hi, kwag!
Yes, the PV231 does support preview while capturing. I had it working perfectly in WindowsME. I don't know if SPI for WindowsXP has something to do with it.
Best Wishes,
fravel
