This is my first post, and I dont have any knowledge on video stuff. so..

My purpose is to capture few TV programs and TV movies and burn a "similar" or "better" quality CD. This is for home usage.

My Capture Card: Leadtek TV2000 XP Deluxe
o/p Formats: MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, AVI and few others
Capture Resol: 160x120, 320x240, 352x240, 352x288, 640x480, 720x480, 720x576, 320x480, 352x480
I have nero express, nero vision express, Ulead Video Studio and Sonic MyDVD.

I have 30Gig available and I am not comfortable to capture it in AVI format due to it size. (or I may be wrong)

I am willing to read documents and guides and cant afford to but new software. I would like to see some KVCD samples. I downloaded few KVCD sample clips which I am going to burn now.

NOW Where do I start to create KVCD?

Regards
Dominic

Welcome dominic01

You can use any of the AVI to KVCD guides in this site. AVI, meaning your captured AVI, and not a DivX or XviD AVI. The process is very similar. Check the main page at www.kvcd.net and look under "Articles".

I think you are talking about the "KVCD From scratch – A Users guide v1.1".

Actually I dont want to go thru the AVI way (because of the file size). I can get MPEG1 or MPEG2 directly from my captured card. Is there any way I can convert those to KVCD?

BTW I created a KVCD from the samples page and they are excellent quality. I know source plays an important role in the final product.

Is there any place where I can get TV captured samples?

Regards
Dominic

There are two here: www.kvcd.net/samples
Both hbo* files are satellite captures, and encoded with TMPEG.
Also, if you download the KVCD compatibility CD image, the sample was also captured from TV (Seinfeld).

Thank You, This is what I was looking for.

I dont know where to ask this kind of basic question. What kind of script is that? How do you run it? or What do you need to run it?

Regards
Dominic
