Coming soon on the technology front..

Excerpt from cnet.com:
http://www.cnet.com/techtrends/0-601...-1.html?tag=ld

A Tapestry disc is about the same size as a CD, but it stores 100GB of data--enough for 20 full-length movies or 7.5 hours of compressed high-definition video.

Calimetrics has also announced plans to increase capacity to 60GB per side (from 650 mb per cd) by combining its chip technology with blue lasers and another technique called near-field optics, which works by shortening the wavelength of the laser by focusing the recording laser closer to the recording media. Short wavelengths equal more data per square inch.

something to look into for next year Kwag....

You bet
Well if we are using the KDVD Full D-1 template, and that gives us 5 hours of full DVD quality per DVD today, then 100GB/4.7GB = 21.27 or round it to 21 times more. So then we'll be able to fit 5 X 21 = 105 hours of video with KDVD templates

CoOoOoOl!,

So I think we'll stick to KVCD's and regular KDVD's for a while
