Newbie question.
I'm converting some VHS tapes to kvcd (less space taken up). Is the source interlaced or not?

If you capture 576 lines (PAL), it is. It's recommended to capture at least at resolution 352x576, and better if you can go for 704/720x576.

You'll also see the comb artifacts in the video if it is interlaced.
