Just bought this player. This is the unit replacing the popular 3900 which played all formats well. It plays great on all templates but when pausing or skipping forward you lose all sound after resuming play. The video looks great but no sound afterward. What could the problem be? Did any of you 3900 owners have this problem?

I brought a couple of test VCD's to a local store to test the Toshiba 3950. I used my standard test VCD and a movie that i captured a while ago.

The 3950 supported all KVCD formats with sound. I couldn't test skipping because my samples were not long enough to have chapters.

I also tested with a movie (VCD, 352x240) and found no problem with the sound after skipping between chapters.

Perhaps you should try taking one of your sample VCDs and testing with the same model in a store.
