Sorry if this is in the wrong section but Im new to KVCD.

I have an MPEG file which is KVCD. The problem is that when I use any player (windows MP, Divx etc) it registers the file as only being 16 minutes in duration and will only play 16 minutes until the playback scroll bar has reached the end. The full film is there because if I manually move the scroll bar along I can go to any point in the film from begining to end (also the file size is 700mb). If I move the scroll bar to the middle however (e.g. 1hr into a 2hr film) it will play from that point, but will only play 8mins as it thinks you are half way through the 16 minutes it sees as the films duration.

Hope this makes sense. I've tried reinstalling the players and a few different codecs but nothing so far has helped. Anyone got any ideas I could try. TIA.

This problem is well know and will appear also on your standalone (depend on the model).

On the standalone you can't do anything () but on you PC all is matter of codecs.

Use Ligos Video codec / Ligos Audio codec AND Ligos Splitter (it's important to have ALL of them) and it will be ok.

On another hand, ligos splitter has problem when you try to jump directly to a point in the movie : sometimes you need several seconds before the play continues.

As there is no codecs that can display correct time _and_ handle radom access, you must choice between the two problem.

For ligos, use the ACE codec pack there :
