Hi there, I cature from VHS with a setting in vdub capture of RGB24 and Huffyuv compression.
All was fine until I started experimenting with avisynth.
Most of the filters return an error: xyz plugin requires YUY2 source.
Is there a command I can insert in the script to correct this or should I be using diffrent settings in vdub (if so what would be best).
Thanks very much.

It seems you set HuffYUV to RGB output. So set HuffYUV to YUY2 (standard) output.
Using this it will result in a YUY2 based stream which is easy to open in avisynth and its YUY2 based filters.
But as there are also many YV12 needing filters, you should add a
ConverttoYV12() to the filtering part which needs that YV12 colorspace.
