Hey all..

I was just wondering how to get the best results capturing an old wedding video from a skaky camcorder. The quality of the tape is fine, could use a little pixiedust and but its the fast movement of the camera and such that creates quite a lot of pixelization.

I have a 1.4 amd with an ATI capture card and would like to turn this video into a high quality KDVD. What are by best steps or the best forums to read from?

thanks all

tks

1. download and install capture software,IUVCR is my suggest;
2. download and setup one avi codec:MORGAN MJPG is my useing;
3. install virtualdub and tmpgenc;
3. begin capture,set framesize 720X576(or 768X576 need your card support) in PAL, 720x480(or 768x480) in NTSC;
4. after capturing, run virtualdub ,open your avi file *.avi,
load filter:
a. load "nulltransform" filter and clip to 704X576;
(I am abuse in this , when I burn vcd, I dont resize it ,
but when I make one divx(mp4) ,I first resize source to 768x576(pal),
because mp4 just play in computer screen, not like tv drag picture
large in horizen)
b. load "smartdenoicehiq" ,and use it's default set.

5. run virtualdub frameserver make a virtual file *.vdr,
run tmpgenc and open *.vdr, load kdvd's templete,
6. compress. ok.

I dont know whether or not to deinterlace stuff for kdvd?
