On a PAL to NTSC conversion. Did framerate conversion in Script (Moviestacker). Converted the WAV file in BeSweet but when multiplexed with the video the audio begins about 2 secs ahead of the video and just gets progressively worse. Getting to about 2 1/2 minutes ahead after about 60 minutes runtime. What does this seem to indicate?

It indicates that you didn't do the same conversion to audio.

Send a message via MSN to glent2k3
your source will be 25fps(0riganl)
to encode to 23 or 29 (to match the video)you have to check to box and select the preset you need. IF you still have a small delay then mux with mplex and delay the audio in the settings tab

And did you do also the framerate conversion for the AUDIO in besweeet ?

Note: I hope you are going from 23.976 and not from 29.970 !

Yes, the soure is 25.000 fps. I encoded the video with a Moviestacker script, with format conversion selected and the output is 23.976 fps. The audio I did in BeSweet, using the WAV file and doing a framerate conversion from 25.000 to 23.976. The Besweet Log file showed it was successful, so I'm confused??

Check the length in seconds of the wav, the one of the mp2 and the one of the encoded video.

MP2 must be = to video.
And wav should be exactly (length of MP2*23.976/25).

If you don't have this, you did something wrong.

What programs would work to check the length of the encoded video, which is a .m1v file (or is it mpeg) out of TMPGEnc? And to check the length of the .mp2 and original .wav?

simply open then in wmp

(if the length seems not correct for the m1v, you can use avicodec for it).
