DVD

R(RW) is a different format than DVD

R(RW)
Technically speaking, the
+ is a better design, but the
- is more compatible.
If you can get a DVD writer that supports both formats, get it
My suggestions: Sony DRX-500 series

My KDVDs burned on DVD+RW DON'T work on my Cyberhome 300
DVD-R work fine, and I haven't tested DVD+R yet.

Kwag,

Have you managed to get any +RW's working in the cyberhome 300? I have used +RW's in the 320 (which apparently is the same thing), but I have not put any KDVD's onto an RW yet,

Colin.

No. At least HP +RW brand.

Could be the brand I used. I'll have to try another brand.

I have only used Fuji+RW's mainly because they have a good rep with the NEC 1300a.

Cheers,

Sony's in general are pretty good, though can be fusy on what blank DVD's you use (but then again, most dvd writers are like that). Its worth checking out the www.rpc1.org and forum as these guys do a lot of testing on these drives,

Cheers,

Look also towards pioneer units.

I have a 106D that I bought 105 euros (150 $CAN) last chrismas and today you can have the 107D that is the same but burn at 8x speed both +R and -R and at 4x -RW/+RW
