Subtitles in Swedish from a TV Recording VHS Video

I would like to get a subtitle (Swedish) from a VHS video movie. (Bad sound)
I have made a "vob" disc and a "*.avi" file but I don’t know how to get the subtitles from this movie to move it to another movie (without subtitles) and good sound and a better video.
Is there anyone to help me or is it inpossible?

No, it's probably not impossible!
Is the VHS movie the same length as the replacement?
Which is the VOB, and which is the AVI?
What is the source of the new video?

Hello KP media
You ar not speaking Swedish?
To answer your questions
No, the VHS movie, recorded from TV have Swedish text, is shorter becouse I missed about 5 minutes at start.
From my VHS (analog) movie I made a digital dvd disc in VOB format. Bad sound from VHS.
My later movie is downloaded from internet and in .avi format but no subtitles. Good sound.
I dont know how to get the text from my vob format.
I have tried Subrip v 1.5. I can see the movie but no subtitles?

What I'm trying to understand is if the subtitles are embedded, or if it's really a subtitle stream. Right now, it sounds as if it's embedded, meaning you can only take the "good" video from the VHS/DVD, and the "good" audio from the AVI. If it's only 5 minutes, that should be easy to do.

So is it an embedded subtitle, seeing as how VHS is the source?

Hello KP Media,
I think you are quite right. I think also that the VHS from TV is embedded in some way?
and not a a subtitle stream.
It must have been texted in Swedish TV?
I dont know if I can do something different while I am converting the VHS to VOB format to get a text file?
I am using an old "Macrosystem" "Casablanca Prestige" to convert?
Is there any good analys or diagnos software explaining this?
If not I have to use the *.avi file without text.
Thank you for trying to help me.
