How to use .srt file to embed Subtitles?

So I have a divx that has audio in chinese, and the subtitles are a separate .srt file. I've been watching it in BSPlayer but I want to create a KVCD with the subtitles 'embedded' in the video (ie: on all the time). The file has this format:

Code:

1
00:01:50,370 --> 00:01:51,701
What is the meaning of this check?

2
00:01:51,838 --> 00:01:52,532
Do you want me to cheat?

3
00:01:52,672 --> 00:01:54,003
No...

etc...

How would I go about converting this .srt file into the proper format and embedding it into the video stream? Where would I put the necessary commands in my .avs script and what would they be? Which tools/plugins do I need to do this?

Thanks! Any help is greatly appreciated..

You will need to install Vobsub 2.23 (or it"s Avinsynth plugin version "VsFilter.dll")

Everything is explained there :

You can use MovieStacker for that.
Just check "Subtitles" and enter the configuration dialog.
Now select "Textual subtitles" and select your .str file.
That's it. 8) :wink:
