ATI All In Wonder Video Problems

So, I've connected my ATI All In Wonder X800XL PCIe to the main board -- I've downloaded hopefully all necessary drivers including WDM -- as I am not showing any Unknown Drivers in my list.. But when I connect the ATI Purple Input to the I/O cable which plugs into the back of the card -- my monitor (which is plugged into the DVI on the back of the card) does not display anything. Is this normal -- do I need the Black Output cable to do any Video Capture? I'm stumped..

Important Things To Note: I am using the older version of the Purple ATI Input Cable -- not the "domino cable"
Also, the I/O cable that I am using does not have the VGA Out -- it has Purple Input // Black Output // TV // FM.

"Does not display anything" = your monitor shows black instead of your PC Desktop?

2 Attachment(s)
I'm betting you have the wrong "biscuit" style connector for your card.

If your card has RF (coax) connectors (male for NTSC, female for PAL I think) then you don't want the connector that has 2 more of them on it. You want the one with the VGA connector and the 2 mini-DIN.

Here's a discussion of the opposite problem:

Note also the additional Catalyst/MMC software available in that thread which seems to work for the X600. I will be trying this with my X1800XL but your X800XL might be more amenable.

Ebay options for the cable (I believe you need) here:

or

There may other sources, possibly for just the cable you need.

Woah, incredible response time man -- this is exactly the answer I was looking for. Just when I was about to stress about it :D
