Webpage Lawyer questions freakout

I've had a page that I've had for about 3 years now, with no probs.
Today, a tech guy from my webmaster (small local internet company) contacted me saying he had multiple emails sent to them requesting contact info about me.

I checked my pages, and I have very obvious animated 'email' buttons with a correct email address.
I asked him if they could be spam mails, as my email was obvious, and he suggested it was probably lawyers waiting to descend on me (maybe they wanted more than me email address from the webmaster?).
Naturally, I freaked and pulled my webpage. I've only posted it on websites or as part of my profile, but you could probably find it though a search somewhere too.

Has anyone else had this happen or know it it's true, or is it just hapless person who didn't look around carefully before emailing?

Should I be worried? :(

I could have been any number of things. I wouldn't worry about it.

Yeah I would not worry, probably a scare tactic.
