My Samsung DVD drive does not open the tray Is it possible to repair it without opening the drive fully? it only opens with a needle or wire and for it to close I need to touch the tray after pressing the button

Depends on what causes it. Sometimes yet, sometimes no.

I have drives where the eject button does nothing, I have to use the software eject/load instead now. I recently wrote about this in one of your other posts (in more details).

Did you try to update the player's BIOS?
Did it work OK before the BIOS update but not after?
Does it play now and just fail to open, or is it dead?

If the BIOS update failed or was interrupted before completion you may have a dead player, at least until the BIOS is replaced, and that is usually is beyond the ability of most users.

The general rule is NEVER update a BIOS unless there is a specific problem you need to fix that is known to be addressed by a newer BIOS.
