Hi. I have 2 Lite-On iHAS224 and they don't show up on the Windows 7 Ultimate x64 compatible list When I try to use Windows Media Player 12 it dosent recognize the 2 DVD burners at all. Is there something I can do to change the settings of W7 to see them or a new Firmware burn ? I downloaded a firmware upgrade and it acts like I dont have any of this model installed.
Help please ?

Firmware won't really fix something like this -- most all DVD burner firmware is for adding media write strategies, or fixing older ones -- and nothing more.

Why do you want to use Windows Media Player (WMP) 12, anyway? Are you looking to play some DVDs? If so, I suggest using the superior freeware VLC media player: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
