How to clean laptop CD burner...

How do I clean my CD player/burner on my laptop? (Dell Inspiron E1505 from 2006) Whenever I try to burn CDs lately they end up sounding choppy and skippy. I found an article on how to remove the drive from a desktop for cleaning, however I would like some info on how to clean my laptop "lens" or whatever it's called. Thank you!

Just noticed that you said 'Laptop'... duh on my part :(... might want to post this in the 'Blank Media' section also, as it deals with burners as well as media...

I've added some instructions to the existing CD/DVD drive cleaning thread.

Thank you for the help with the laptop CD burner cleaning info. We had some nice dinner music at my Mom's for Thanksgiving because I can now burn a CD without skipping and distortion! YEA!! Thanks again! :)
