I have two legit system disks that came with two of my e-machines, one is a dvd and the older one is a cd/dvd, both have xp home edition and I know they are cheep computers but this disks have repair and re-build options, at least the two e-machines came with disks that do work! I have used them several times as I have been through 2 or 3 hard drives and the disks are getting a lot of scratches, etc. I have used several programs to make copies and each disk and the copies are different size that the original and doesn't seem to work, at least as far as I have tried to test the copies...is there a way to copy these so they will work correctly?

Have you tried ISO Puzzle yet?
It's attached to the first post here: http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/medi...-data-bad.html

Is the ISO Puzzle better than DVD Decrypter?

The downloaded ISO Puzzle from your link won't install, it give me a "cant load library and cant find drives errors.

Not "better" as much as it's just different.
- ISO Puzzle reads the disc non-linear, and will come back and retry bad sections after all good sections are read.
- DVD Decrypter will attempt limits retries, give up, and move on. It does not reattempt reads of bad areas after initial fails.

Read the ISO Puzzle page carefully. There are some DLL dependencies that must be present on the system.
