As following How To Schedule Tasks in Windows XP

I have scheduled that firefox and task manager are to run on startup, and up until now it works, but lately they haven't been running. I checked the scheduled tasks utility and they are still there, unchanged, so I don't know what would have happen to make it stop working?

The service may have been disabled for some reason.

- Right-click on My Computer and go down to Manage. It'll open up the Management panel for Windows.
- Go to the Service and Applications tree, expand it, and select the Services option.
- The right side should then list your various services.
- Find the Task Scheduler and see what the status is. It should be set to Automatic.
- If not, right-click on the service, and change it.
