I want to play some old computer games that only play on Windows 95/98. I installed VirtualBox on my Windows 7 computer and used a Windows 98 SE disc to install that OS in VirtualBox. The OS installed and runs fine in VirtualBox but when I go full screen, there is a black border around the screen. I'm new to VirtualBox and I don't know a lot about it. Does anyone know how to make the window go full screen without that black border? I didn't see anything about it in the settings.

Install the VBOX Additions. Mount the ISO file -- which comes with VirtualBox -- and let it install (autorun should catch it).
It will then auto-change the resolution of Windows slave to the host OS.

I did that but I get an error. It won't finish the installation. It sounds like it has something to do with drivers.

There are no guest additions for Windows 9x in VirtualBox. More details here on how to set up a virtual machine with that OS: https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=9918

Personally I prefer Microsoft VirtualPC for running Windows 98SE, it had official support for it. MS used to offer VirtualPC 2004 as a free download, don't know if they do anymore. Either way gaming with Windows 98 on a virtual machine can be painful as it lacks hardware 3D acceleration. Many people build a period system to run those games. Even a $20 thrift store special PC can do the task as Pentium IIIs tend to be the sweet spot for Windows 98 use.

I have an old Pentium 3 PC but the hard drive is dead. I also have Windows 98 SE with a Plus CD. I might have to just get a new hard drive and use the old computer. The only thing is, I want to record some of the video games and I don't know if WM Capture 6 will work on it. It's the best screen capture program I've tried and I'm only using the demo right now. I will probably buy it.
