Haven't seen a desktop like that in a loooooong time.

Below: One of three XP machines I built and still use. The desktops are all alike. The Win7 PC and Win10 laptop look similar. Background is dark gray RGB-32. Wallpaper is a left-to-right/right-to-left 22-panel gray scale from RGB-0 to RGB-255 -- on calibrated monitors all 22 panels must appear as distinct, pure shades of gray with no visible color tint (as expected, they all look like crap on the laptops).
