Recording TV Shows/Movies from Netflix
I watch NetFlix on my Xbox 360, is there a way that I can record TV shows from NetFlix, even though I'm watching it thru my Xbox 360?

Maybe.
XBOX > DVD recorder > TV I honestly don't understand the point of recording rentals. Saw it once, why see it again? If I wanted to keep it, I could just as easily buy the DVD; used off Amazon.com, if cost is an issue. |
because i want to record a tv series that has not and probably will not be released on dvd ever.
is the dvd recorder the only option probably? i have a dvd recorder, but there's no red, white, yellow hookups on xbox, or anything like that. so i don't know how i'd hook the dvd recorder to the xbox.. |
Oh yeah ... I've read about several unreleased TV shows getting Netflix play time, and hobbyists are going foaming-at-the-mouth bonkers to record the shows while available. (Not that I blame, of course, being a TV/cartoon show collectors myself.) Several of the shows I've read about are actually unlikely to ever get an official released, because of how tied up the rights are. However, "streaming" may be a loophole similar to TV broadcast syndication, hence the ability to "rent" it in this way.
DVD recorder or computer with capture card, yes, those are the only viable options. There's not a way to "download" the video streams, if that's what you were hoping. What show is it? |
how would i hook the dvd recorder to the xbox, since the xbox doesn't have any red, yellow or white hookups? is there something i could buy that i could hook the dvd recorder to, and hook that to the xbox? kind of like a go between or something?

The 360 should've come with a cable that has a proprietary connector on one end and the yellow composite video/red & white stereo audio on the other.

I would not use any kind of "go between" -- just get the proper wiring. :thumb: |
