Okay, awhile back i formated, no drives changed nothing...

well, I can't even get it to copy as fast as it used to, a dvd to dvd would take about 8-10 mins, now its taking 16 mins.. wth, i dunno whut to do! I'm getting really mad now

Is DMA mode set on all optical drives?
Sounds like you used to burn 8x, but now only get 4x.

Yes, I looked at that... at one tme before, it did switch to PIO, but I changed it back.. Now, still no differ..

Same spindle of media before formating, only thing changed was a format.. same program, alcohol 120%

Have you tried blowing out the DVD burner with compressed air? This was happening to me until just a little while ago I decided to blow out the burner with compressed air. I went back to high speed burning right away.
