Ulead DVD Workshop 2 and Vista?

from PM...

Hello again. I really want to start authoring my own sets. Now I know you like Ulead DVD Workshop 2, I did some checking into that but I run Vista on my computer and Ulead doesn't jive too well with it. Can you make any other suggestions? Any suggestions for authoring freeware? Thanks.
I've actually not tested Ulead DVDWS2 with Vista yet, but I shall do so now. I have the 64-bit Premium version here -- which version are you using?

EDIT: Adding link to fix for using Ulead DVD Workshop 2 in Windows Vista and Windows 7 -- both x86 32-bit or x64 64-bit

Thanks. -LS

Hello again. I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium 32BIT.

I installed Ulead DVD Workshop 2 from my original disc --- not a downloaded cracked version, where most complaints originate for this software --- and was able to install it on a laptop running Windows Vista Premium 32-bit edition. I then authored a DVD, and exported it to an ISO. I was able to load the ISO with DaemonTools, and it played fine.

B&H now has DVDWS for only $99! http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...3167/KBID/4166

The only "problem" with Vista and DVDWS2 is that DVDWS2 will crash during program shutdown (after your work is saved, exported, etc) because it looks for a file -- d3drm.dll -- that is not present in Windows Vista. You can simply add this file to the C:\Windows\System32 folder, as well as the C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD Workshop 2 folder.

This won't harm you in any way, but some folks are uneasy about software crashes, for whatever reason.

I've attached the file to this post, inside a zip.
