Help authoring BluRay

I did a shooting with a fullHD camcorder and now I want to create a BluRay disc out of them.
The raw files are in .mp4, I understand this is a conteiner. So should I convert mp4 to something else?

So, can I make a BluRay with these? Or should I re-encode them first?

This is just to begin with, then comes the proper authoring where I'd need help as well.
So, if anyone can give me a hand with this stuff I would appreciate it.
Regards.

Are you looking to make a Bly-ray disc with menus and chapters, or just the ability to play the file on a Blu-ray player.

What camcorder did you use the shoot the video?

Do you have any video editing or DVD/Blu-ray authoring software now? If so what do you have.

As a quick test you could just burn the MP4 file to Blu-day data disc ans see if it plays in your BD player.

Yeah, I was trying to make a BD with menu and chapters. I already did it by using TMPGEnc authoring works 4.0
However there were things I didn't know, like due to the files fps (in this case 29.97) was more convenient making a NTSC BD than a PAL one (I live in South America so I had go for the latter if I wasn't told).
