Help authoring BluRay
I did a shooting with a fullHD camcorder and now I want to create a BluRay disc out of them.
The raw files are in .mp4, I understand this is a conteiner. So should I convert mp4 to something else? I understand not every file can be BluRay compliant. So I checked them with MediaInfo, and this is what I got: General ID : 1 (0x1) Complete name : J:\Windows 7 PC\Grabaciones Propias\BDMV\STREAM\00002.MTS Format : BDAV Format/Info : Blu-ray Video File size : 402 MiB Duration : 3 min 22 s Overall bit rate mode : Variable Overall bit rate : 16.6 Mb/s Maximum Overall bit rate : 18.0 Mb/s Recorded date : 2009-06-08 11:29:24-05:00 Video ID : 4113 (0x1011) Menu ID : 1 (0x1) Format : AVC Format/Info : Advanced Video Codec Format profile : High@L4 Format settings : CABAC / 4 Ref Frames Format settings, CABAC : Yes Format settings, RefFrames : 4 frames Format settings, GOP : M=3, N=15 Codec ID : 27 Duration : 3 min 22 s Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 15.5 Mb/s Maximum bit rate : 16.8 Mb/s Width : 1 920 pixels Height : 1 080 pixels Display aspect ratio : 16:9 Frame rate : 29.970 (30000/1001) FPS Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0 Bit depth : 8 bits Scan type : Interlaced Scan type, store method : Separated fields Scan order : Top Field First Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.250 Stream size : 374 MiB (93%) Audio ID : 4352 (0x1100) Menu ID : 1 (0x1) Format : AC-3 Format/Info : Audio Coding 3 Commercial name : Dolby Digital Codec ID : 129 Duration : 3 min 23 s Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 384 kb/s Channel(s) : 6 channels Channel layout : L R C LFE Ls Rs Sampling rate : 48.0 kHz Frame rate : 31.250 FPS (1536 SPF) Bit depth : 16 bits Compression mode : Lossy Delay relative to video : -287 ms Stream size : 9.29 MiB (2%) Service kind : Complete Main Text ID : 4608 (0x1200) Menu ID : 1 (0x1) Format : PGS Codec ID : 144 Duration : 3 min 22 s So, can I make a BluRay with these? Or should I re-encode them first? This is just to begin with, then comes the proper authoring where I'd need help as well. So, if anyone can give me a hand with this stuff I would appreciate it. Regards. |
Are you looking to make a Bly-ray disc with menus and chapters, or just the ability to play the file on a Blu-ray player.
What camcorder did you use the shoot the video? Do you have any video editing or DVD/Blu-ray authoring software now? If so what do you have. As a quick test you could just burn the MP4 file to Blu-day data disc ans see if it plays in your BD player. |

However there were things I didn't know, like due to the files fps (in this case 29.97) was more convenient making a NTSC BD than a PAL one (I live in South America so I had go for the latter if I wasn't told). |
