I need some suggestions as to which (brand) HDMI cables to buy. Which are the "best", and why?

Go cheap. Cheap, cheap, cheap. This assumes a short run, about 3 feet total.

Cables for about $5 here: http://www.bluejeanscable.com/store/...bles/index.htm

Unlike analog cabling, there is really no such thing as a "best" cable, aside from long run (greater than 6 feet), because of signal loss, as opposed to analog degradation. Loss and degradation are not the same (one is blank, one is there but looks crappy).

Monoprice was also suggested to me by two people.
