Hi all,

For my newly purchased Full HD Camcorder (Sony PJ260VE), I need to buy an SD Card and need your suggestions.

1. Which brand is usually more reliable? (Sandisk?? How about Verbatim)?
2. Class 4, 6 or 10? (the user manual recommends class 4 or higher)

Though this is a SONY camcorder, it DOES accept SD/SDHC/SDXC cards.

Thanks.

See the advice here: http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/phot...html#post21863
It's also valid for your request.

Since this is a video camera, I'd go with a Class 10 card. Class 10 SDHC cards are often lower priced than slower cards now anyway.

Sandisk vs Verbatim is no contest -- go with a Sandisk.
But my preference is for Transcend and Lexar. I have a PNY here on my desk, and it works well.

WOW...this is almost like instant messaging. Such an amazingly fast reply.

Thanks kp for the suggestion.

Though I mentioned Verbatim for its low price & their excellent DVD-media, I was open to any brand.

Any specific reason for this? Just curious.

Easy -- I've never had a Transcend fail or act quirky.

... hoping I didn't just jinx myself.

Not that I've had much of an issue with Lexar or Sandisk, but just not had a perfect recording with them.
There are worst brands: AData, Patriot, various no-names.
