I am trying to connect a Sony VO9850 to a Sony BVT810 Time Base Corrector (TBC).
I am not sure what the correct way to hookup my 9850 to the TBC. I assume that I need to do the following:

VO9850 to BVT810
RF to REF In
Video Out to Off Tape Video (Input)

BVT810 to VO9850
ADVSync to SYNC (In)
SC Output to SC (In)

However, I am not sure what to do with the DOC Input on the TBC, where do I connect that to my VO9850? If I have messed something else up please let me know. Thanks

Also, if anyone has a manual for the Sony BVT810 TBC please let me know as I cannot find one anywhere!

Cheers!

I've never seen one of these, and the reason why is because it appears to be a special genlock-type TBC that was built for a specific piece of U-matic video equipment.

I've come across several posts like this before. One of the better ones is here: http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/21/859076

That may be the wrong model TBC for that deck.

Take note of this especially:
Quote:
The BVT800 and BVT810 were specifically designed for the Sony BVU800 and BVU820 3/4" U-Matic VTR's. These are NOT FRAME SYNCHRONIZERS, so if you are trying to lock up a VHS machine to go into a modern digital card (like an AJA, Blackmagic or Matrox), it won't work.
This posts is a few months old, so hopefully you've found this info since then.

This was an unanswered question or unresolved issue found during a site audit. It's hard to have an FAQ when the answers are missing, or final outcomes are unknown. At The Digital FAQ support forum, questions are never intentionally ignored, and may have been missed due to a forum glitch or human error. More details on the audit. (In some cases, threads have been edited/updated with newer information.)

Please note: the Sony BVU-950 User Manual also indicates that the BVT-810 is supported for use with the BVU-950.
