Any playback software that can be set to hide overscan?
 
If I am playing back a video sourced from a DVD, is there a way to hide the overscan rather than convert?

Some shows I have have an ugly stripe on the sides, from what I assume is a U-Matic or D1 frame sync artifact. While I would prefer not to convert, I can't not notice them :mad4:

MPC-HC too, and probably its cousins.

Just keep hitting Numpad 9 until it's zoomed in enough for your liking. When you're done watching, hit Numpad 5 to reset.

Further options are available from the right-click context menu under "Pan&Scan", including the option to create a Preset:
