I captured a streaming video using Movavi, it plays on my computer OK, the video was labelled .MP4.
If I put the video on a USB stick and put this in my LG TV , it will not play.
If I try to stream to my video recorder that is also a DLNA client it will not play.
Could somebody please advise where to start to make it play.

Not enough information. "Mp4" is a container that can accept many different codecs and many forms of encoding. TV's and servers are not as fully programmed as PC media players and can't play "everything", just because they say it's mp4.

You can try posting a MediaInfo text report on the mp4, which might give us some clues.

MediaInfoXP is a free standalone utility (no install required) version of MediaInfo that analyzes video files and displays a long panel of technical specs about it. You can copy its information to the clipboard, paste it in a text file, and/or paste the text info in a post in this forum.
