For Sale: JVC HR-S7900U + AVT-8120 by AV Toolbox

I purchased this equipment from Lord Smurf earlier this year to digitize my parents VHS collection plus earn side income. Decided this gig wasn't for me and i'd focus on growing my video production business as this kept me home too much lol... All in all i only digitized like 20 tapes so this unit is still in pretty much the same condition it was when LS refurbished and sold it to me. Can also bundle a Black Magic Intensity Shuttle (USB version)

Shipping is ~$50. Well-packed VCR boxes are large and heavy. It's sent tracked, insured, with signature required. Would prefer to ship in the continental US but could be convinced to ship elsewhere which would add to the shipping cost.

Total for TBC+VCR with shipping is $825
Total for TBC+VCR+Intensity Shuttle with shipping is $900

For those that are curious, the AVT-8120 is a surveillance splitter. Certain 8120 units are essentially composite-only AVT-8710 (sans proc amp), using many of the same chips. This is one of the few items that is actually not a rebadge, but a pure AVToolbox product. If you only need or want composite, not s-video, it's a nice budget-end option. I actually wrote a pretty detailed page on it in the still-work-in-progress site glossary: http://www.digitalFAQ.com/glossary/v...press-avt-8120

And it was an A+ 7900 when I graded it.

Is that ntsc only?

jsnyder 02-05-2020 09:24 AM

Manual says NTSC or PAL

Both the VCR and TBC are NTSC only.
