For trade/sell: JVC SR V101US S-VHS VCR

I am interested in trading/selling JVC SR V101US, I am the original owner of this VCR, and purchased it as a Demo unit from B&H in July 2007. It still has the original box, remote, manual, and BNC connectors. The unit performs flawlessly in playback, it truly is one of the better VCRs out there. The unit has a few cosmetic blemishes, but nothing that impacts the functioning of the unit. I have recently cleaned the entire transport of the machine.

Trading: I am interested in trading this model for these machines:
JVC: JVC HR S9600U, JVC HR S9800U, JVC BR S378U, JVC HR S5800U, JVC SR MV40U, JVC HR DVS1U, HR DVS2U, HR DVS3U, JVC HR S8000U, JVC SRW5U

Sony: Sony SLV R5U, Sony SLV R1000

Also, if anyone here has LD players I'd be interested in that too:
Pioneer: Pioneer CLD 95, Pioneer CLD 97, Pioneer CLD 3080, Pioneer CLD 3070, Pioneer CLD 91, Pioneer CLD 92

If you're willing to buy this machine, I'd be willing to sell it for $150 plus shipping. Also, I have more machines for sale as well, just pm me any questions you might have.

Just to inform everyone, I have put this VCR for sale on ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/221261135535...84.m1555.l2649
Starting bid is $120 and buy it now is $250.00. Don't let a deal on this great VCR go by!

The real issue here is that summer is a bad time to sell VCRs, but a great time to buy them. The "seller market" for VCRs has always been Oct-Feb. The catalyst is people that want to convert their old home movies for the holidays, either as a gift or because they're feeling nostalgic. I've always held my video gear until that time for this reason. I'll have more again this year, but I'm waiting until Oct-Nov on purpose.

Just a tip. ;)

Thanks for the advice. Right now, I have two DVD players, parts from a CLD 97, a cheap VHS VCR, and this VCR off ebay. Is it best to pull the auctions and sell during those months?

That's my experiences.
Even this forum picks up from Aug-March. From April-July each year traffic is down. A lot of projects die down in the summer.
You'd think summer = vacation = more free time ... but you'd be wrong.

yup spring/summer sucks
i get way more for my stuff in the fall/early winter and it always sells much quicker.
this time of year you will be hard pressed to get $150 for a 101
even the last 2 AG-1980's i sold only brought $200 each
rare stuff will still bring ok money in the summer
