Hello.
I've been lurking the forums for approximately a month or so learning the ins and outs of video conversion. I have began putting together capture machine but since I have a plethora of random tapes to convert I figured a Panasonic AG-1980 was the best route to go for VCR. I saw a "deal" on Ebay that sounded good ($160 shipped) but ended up with lost time. The Panasonic AG1980 I received had bad caps and though in good physical condition outside for the most part; it appears the caps on the board are failing. The machine is displaying an overly saturated picture without the TBC off; and then a very dark and under-saturated picture with it on. I'm also getting diagonal red/blue lines within the picture. The seller is willing to issue a full refund which I am going to take the loss on shipping. I would like to source an AG-1980 in full working order (replaced caps if possible) from a reputable person that has a bit of history on the board. I'd like to find one in the range of $180-$200 with shipping to Alabama. Thanks.

TGrant always has good equipment available. If he doesn't have what you want right now, check back in a few weeks. Or just contact him, and ask. Sometimes he has new items not yet on the site.
