Up for auction is a JVC SR W5U WVHS VCR. This machine is sold for parts/not working.
The machine has several issues:
1. When first plugging in the machine, the mechanism makes a loud noise. You will need to unplug the machine and power it back on, then it will accept a tape. There seems to be a soldering issue with the pre/rec board. The actual connector appears loose, and because of that, the machine won't display the tape on the display. The ribbon cable between the pre/rec boards is also broken, but I will include it in case it can be repaired.
2. The component input/output board appears to need resoldering as it won't output an image with a component device connected to it. I was able to get it to work once, but was advised by a technician that it needs to be resoldered.
PLEASE NOTE: The actual VCR mechanism works, but needs these two issues fixed for the deck to be fully operational.
Cosmetically, the machine is in ok condition with wear throughout the entire machine. Both the faceplate and side panels have blemishes, and the sides a heavily scratched.
