Best physical media for data in 2021?

Currently what is the best and most reliable physical media for long-term storage of files???

I cannot answer that definitively. After spending a lot of time searching for DVDs that are best for archival, I decided to go with these:
DVD-R 4.7GB 8X UltraLife Gold Archival Grade with Branded Surface and Hard Coat - 5pk Jewel Case
Product Number: 96320

They also come in 50 &100pack spindles.

Part of one of the responses:
"Choices today are very simple. Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim AZO (never heard about the Ultra series), both made my CMC Magnetics in Taiwan. That's it! Both companies sold all their DVD manufacturing rights and technology, some say TY sold them their machines also, to CMC."

But ALL storage media has a must be verified and copied to new media. Ideally every few years at max.

I don't want to see other members derided in public like that. The particular member is very courteous and respectful. He does seem to grasp certain fundamentals of blank media slower than others, and his questions can seem daft at times. But I'm sure any of us could be viewed the same in topics where we're out of our element. Don't forget to add in the language barrier.

For example, I've been driving cars for decades, but I have no idea what some of that stuff under the hood is (now or then). Nor do I care. That's what mechanics are for. It's just not something I want to DIY.

as a follow up, I contacted Verbatim directly to clear up details about disk quality for two of their products, the 5 pack Product Number: 96320, and the 50pack spindle, product number 95355. They are the same disks, both use the AZO dye/technology and are branded 'Ultra Life'.
It is amazing how much inaccuracy/omissions there are in describing the same products.
Hopefully the ppl I spoke with actually knew their products...
