What speed for the DVD-RW or DVD+RW is needed? For that matter, are you after DVD-RW or DVD+RW?
In general, stick with MKM/MCC discs, usually as part of the Verbatim brand.
You'll mostly be buying old stock, and online, as RW isn't really made anymore. Not much of it, anyway. Most of the new discs I see it CMC, which can be hit or miss. Not reliable like the older Mitsubishi discs were.
For CD-R, anything tends to be fine. I use a lot of Ritek CD-RW.
Remember that RW media is only suggested for temporary use -- a few days or weeks at most. Leaving data on a rewritable disc for months or years is asking for data loss.
I'd use these...
For DVD-RW:
-
Verbatim 95179 4.7GB 2X Branded DVD-RW (30pk Spindle) - $30 @ Amazon
-
TDK DVD-RW 4x 4.7GB (25-Pack Spindle)
Stick to 2x for DVD recorders. Only use 4x for computers.
For DVD+RW:
-
Verbatim 94834 4.7 GB 1x- 4x ReWritable Disc DVD+RW, 30-Disc Spindle by Verbatim
For DVD recorders or computer use.
For CD-RW:
- Sony, Verbatim or TDK branded
CD-RW from Amazon.
Pick the spindle/case size that meets your needs, as you can get anywhere from 5 to 100 in a single pack.
Not too complicated.
