Try it.
Burner and burning rate must match.

After half a year check the combustion quality.
Then after a year.

If the focal Qualifiers still as in figure 1.
Then ists okay

I really recommend no more DVD.
The best were the Verbatim, see Figure 2

The most expensive, see Figure 3
[because I have no "long-term experience"

The Blank DVD Media Quality Review guide on this site is still very useful.

I'm having doubts about this media Philips DVD + R
ID: CMC MAG M01 is reliable and secure?

lordsmurf 11-28-2015 03:03 AM

Philips DVD media is almost always CMC, which is terrible.

I managed to burn some DVD media + R Philips CMC MAG M01 and I tested the burned disc with Nero Disc Speed and 3 disks 100% good burning, with this result it is possible that disappear files, deleted files from DVD discs because of them manufactured by CMC?

lordsmurf 11-28-2015 05:45 AM

The issue with CMC is marginal burns, and burn-time failures (coasters). If it checks out the DiscSpeed, and the values are decent, then the disc should be okay. Remember, the quality rating for CMC is about 50-75%, so at least some of the discs in any given spindle should be alright.

No, disc data does not disappear. That's a myth.

philips dvd disc CMC mag m01 pass the test Nero DiscSpeed, how many years this disc can store my files secure?

I am concerned with the storage of my medias DVDR, I store the medias in an open and ventilated room in the afternoon period the air that enters the room is warm the whole room gets little warm, this is bad for the discs and will influence and reduce the useful life of the discs of dvdr? the night and the day is cold, afternoon warm

the dvdr discs placed inside the box slim cd and inside plastic bag

lordsmurf 12-06-2015 07:16 AM

If overly worried about moisture, you can always throw in some silica into a sealed box of discs.

samus87 12-06-2015 07:37 AM

my discs station in an open and ventilated room but in the afternoon period the air that enters the room is warm and furniture and objects are somewhat heated, this will influence and destroy the records?

DVD + R 16x disc stored at 35 degrees temperature will last how many years of useful life?

lordsmurf 01-03-2016 05:24 AM

Sometimes you ask too many redundant questions.

I'm also assuming this is the user "gamemaniaco", and you accounts needs to be merged. Which is the preferred account: this one or that one? It's against the rules of most forum to sign up with multiple accounts. It's not here, but we do merge accounts. There's zero reason for multiple accounts.

I'm not sure of the exact time/temps that will begin to degrade media. Nobody does. It's a range. And I already gave you the ranges for temps and times. There's nothing more to be asked here. Discs last decades under ideal conditions. Less than ideal conditions yields lesser lifespans.

If you live in the middle of Brazil with no AC or heat, and lots of humidity, there's really nothing more to be said. You situation sucks, the end. It's like having the discs in the garage or attic in Texas (my current location), and that would be awful. I'd estimate a decade at most. Some discs less, some longer. Discs hate heat and humidity.

DVD+R vs. DVD-R makes no difference.
1x vs 16x makes no difference.

samus87 01-03-2016 05:46 AM

1 What is worse for the DVD + R disc, high temperature or high humidity?

2 in DVD-+R discs have the rule of an increase in temperature of 10 degrees the estimated time of useful life of the DVD disc is reduced by half?

lordsmurf 01-03-2016 05:55 AM

They both cause issues.
I'm not really sure which is worse. That like comparing dog poo to cat poo. They're both undesirable.

I'm not really sure about the exact correlations. I've not looked at that research in years now. I was heavier into the longevity in the 2000s. All I remember offhand now are the results, not the observations and experiments. Will a raise of 10 degrees cause 2x as worse problems? Probably. That sounds about right. That's who it works with audio noise. That's how a lot of things work: 10 units is 2x as bad.

1 This rule is also known as the Arrhenius rule. For every 10 ° C higher temperature the lifetime of DVD disc is reduced by half

2 Which disc should I buy, The Mdisc (1000 years) or DVD-R AZO Verbatim? I think the Mdisc has no problem in high temperature and high humidity
