Decipher codes printed on Verbatim discs?
With the codes printed on the Verbatim DVD disc is it possible to correctly identify the year of manufacture of it? disc MCC 03RG20
In my case the codes are: MAP642UE24061524 and 4E74J-RVD-8875EZ |
This might be it: June 24, 2015. (MAP642UE 240615 24)
However, I'm not sure. Codes have varied over time, and consumers are not privy to details on what those mean. It has to be deciphered (proper word use there!) by several means. |

In clubmyce they say it was made on MAP642UE24061524
EU24 = 2016 May 24 (0615 = 06:15, or 6:15 AM). And has a table to decipher I ask CMC and they do not answer the truth I do not know the truth to discover the age of the disc |
Using an old code chart, EU24 would have been the data. However, I'm not sure how EU24 can translate to a date, while a 4-digit number translate to a time stamp. Honestly, that just does not make sense.
Both the MyCE members and myself are just guessing. CMC won't divulge the info, for whatever (stupid) reason. Just be satisfied that it was made in 2015 or 2016 -- maybe, we think. |
It is very difficult to decipher this, the table posted by clubmyce is wrong? They say other non-CMC disk is easy to decipher
-- update -- I passed the code to the CMC and they said that my disc was manufactured in EU24 = 2016 May 24 equals the assertion of clubmyce thank you all for the help |
